After two shinning victories in the ongoing qualifiers for AFCON 2015 due in the Kingdom of Morocco, the Coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, German-born Volker Finke, has decided to maintain the winning team, except the coming back into the Lions’ den of defender, Henri Bedimo, who was part of the 2014 World Cup campaign in Brazil and plies his professional trade in Olympic Lyonnais, France.

Earlier in the month of September 2014, the new-look Lions bashed the Leopards of the DRC in their own backyard in Lubumbashi, 2-0 and stunned the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire at the Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaoundé, 4-1. The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon now top Group D of the AFCON 2015 qualifiers with 6 points and 5 goals to their credit.

With the Ebola virus ravaging a good portion of West Africa, including Sierra Leone and the CAF ban on matches not to be played in countries affected by the killer virus, Sierra Leone opted to play her home match against Cameroon in Yaoundé on Thursday, October 16 2014, while the return leg will still be played at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé on Sunday, October 19 2014.

In their first two matches in Group D, Sierra Leone lost to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in Abidjan, 1-2 and 0-2 to the Leopards of DRC in Lubumbashi. The Lone Stars are tailing Group D with zero point.
