In a statement ELECAM says it must approve all the campaign slogans to be used by political parties when campaigns begin on March 30. The electoral cards for the electors, who are the councillors from the various municipal councils, are being carried to ELECAM branches across the country.

By May 9 2013, according to the electoral law, all the 100 senators must have been known, including the 30 to be appointed by Presidential Decree.
