Wax Dey To Choose His Number One Girl

Thursday, July 04 2013 at Douala Bercy, an exquisite entertainment joint in the Douala metropolis, the Cameroonian public and media will see Wax Dey, Cameroonian-born singer but South African-based choose his Number One Girl.

In the past three months, Canal 2 International’s prime-time reality TV show ‘Number One Girl’ has set 20 girls in competition and adventure. Only one of them will go away with an endorsement contract, 5000 dollars in cash and a trip to South Africa, where she will star in the music video of the hit song Number One Girl.

Number One Girl, the title track of Wax Dey’s new album, is also a hit on the playlist of another ongoing reality TV show, Big Brother Africa – THE CHASE.

Number One Girl TV show, airing on the Douala-based TV station, Canal 2 International, is in its maiden edition and has gone beyond choosing a video girl based on her physical beauty. It is set out to help aspiring artistes develop their talents and self-confidence, and to ultimately create a likeable public figure with character and charisma.

Thursday’s event will also feature local and international artistes including Nigerian-born and sensational Dontom, while the Cameroonian package will have; Krotal, Tony Nobody, Magasco and more. The show opens at 6:00PM Cameroon time and is free of charge on purchase of the soundtrack of the show.

Born Nde Ndifonka, Wax Dey is a graduate in Law from the University of Buea. He is a son from the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
