projects in Manyu Division.

Doctor Nkongho Elizabeth, Financial Secretary for the outgoing committee, gave a run-down of their income, expenditure and balance. They took over office with 315,000 francs CFA from their predecessors in 2010. Contribution came from Cameroon and the USA which totaled 16,469,000 francs CFA.

borne water, school benches for some schools in Manyu Division, prizes to students with outstanding results in ordinary and advance levels. The balance to be handed over to the succeeding executive remains 2,527,000 francs CFA.

The Manyu community showed up with lots of appreciation for what MEDWIC has done to increase the budget.  MEDWIC equally took the opportunity to present to the Manyu community in Yaoundé MPS from the different sub divisions of Manyu Division.

Hon Susan Okpu thanked the Manyu people for voting them as MPS and promised they will live up to their expectations.

Hon Enow Tanjong appreciated the Manyu sons and daughters who have mobilized funds for the construction of a befitting hall for Manyu occasions. He compared to the days of old where they gathered in a very small and uncomfortable hall.

Contrary to Victor Mengot’s advice who called on the elites to come together and assist jobless Manyu graduates, Prof Agbor Tabi asked the graduates to do odd jobs as a means of employment.  He made reference to what he did  to survive while still a Minister with the government; that he reared pigs because his salary was not enough to take care of his needs. Some Manyu parents got so disappointed with Professor’s advice and left the hall.

The occasion ended with obhasi-njom — a Manyu traditional dance that was performed by students of University of Yaoundé II Soa.
