Cameroon’s leading brewery corporation, Les Brasseries du Cameroun is celebrating the advent season with a touch of colour, style, fun and plenty of action.

In a well crafted programme christened “Christmas For All”, Les Brasseries du Cameroun has been celebrating with secondary schools, associations, choral and traditional dance groups from the municipalities of Buea, Mutengene ,Tiko and Limbe at their Mutengene premises.

The “Christmas For All” package, composed of playbacks, ballet dance, quizzes, sac race, tug-of-war, filling of tanks and band competitions were hotly contested by the accredited participants.

The party-like, festive, fun-packed and jovial event, which opened Sunday, December 8 2013 ended in pomp on Sunday, December 15 2013, with lots of material and cash prizes won by the competing schools, associations, choral and dance groups.

In the tug-of-war final, Precious Youths of Mutengene came first, bagging home the sum of FCFA 125,000. The runners up were Pretty Sisters, with FCFA 75,000 and Fako Focus Sisters, FCFA 50,000 all of Mutengene.

St. Joseph’s College, SJC, Sasse, Buea emerged winners of the quiz competition, picking up a cash prize of FCFA 250,000. They will be followed by Government Bilingual High School, GBHS, Tiko at the second position with FCFA 150,000 and

at the third position, Government High School, GHS, Bokwaongo, Buea with FCFA 100,000.

The legendary SJC, Sasse will make the difference in the playback final, topping the chart and taking home the sum FCFA 125,000 and at the second position, GHS Limbe with FCFA 75,000 and the third, GHS Buea Town with FCFA 50,000.

final, winning the first position, which earned them FCFA 125,000, to be followed by GBHS Tiko with FCFA 75,000 and Government Technical High School, GTHS, Ombe taking home FCFA 50,000.

SJC Sasse will be back to grab the first prize in the band competition, FCFA 125,000 outsmarting GTHS Ombe to the second position with FCFA 75,000 as their cash prize.

The associations will dominate the short kick competition, with Bakossi Youths coming first and enriched with FCFA 125,000. Las Vegas came second, bagging FCFA 75,000 and at the third position, Fako Focus Sisters with FCFA 50,000.

The Miss “Christmas For All” crown 2013 went to GBHS Tiko, the second came from BGS Molyko, Buea and the third position went to Regina Pacis College, REPACOL, Mutengene.

Other activities that were seriously competed for include; Bible quiz, choral singing, karaoke, traditional dance and the fashion parade.

Chief of Publicity and Marketing for the Southwest Agency of Les Brasseries du Cameroun, Andre Nkem said “Christmas For All” has been ongoing for the past six years and it is an occasion for Les Brasseries du Cameroun to say thanks for all their customers who has been faithful to the company, while urging them to stay faithful. “We are there because of our customers, we love them,” he noted.

Gustave Ayissi Zoa, Les Brasseries du Cameroun Sales Manager for the Southwest Regional Agency indicated that it was an opportunity for them to wish a merry Christmas 2013 to their customers and enjoin them to celebrate with the company as they get into the New Year 2014.

According to the Regional Director of Les Brasseries du Cameroun, Southwest, Michel Mvondo, the leading brewery company has taken a commitment to be generous to its customers and well-wishers. “This is a national initiative we have embarked on, with Coca-Cola, to celebrate the spirit of Christmas with the young people in the Southwest Region and their respective families. Via the competitions, we have offered a lot of exciting prizes to our customers and winners. We promise to be back next year with more,” he added.

The DO for Tiko subdivision, Patrick Che appreciated the “Christmas For All” party organised by Les Brasseries du Cameroun in his unit of operation, saying the prizes and financial benefits should be judiciously employed, especially at this festive period of the year.
