Android TV gets HBO Now and Showtime as Google reveals more apps, smart TV partners

Although Chromecast was the star of Google’s recent TV announcements, Android TV hasn’t been completely forgotten. Several new streaming services have arrived on the platform, and several more companies are promising to build Android TV into their television sets. The new apps include Showtime and HBO Now, which offer standalone subscriptions for $11 per month
