August launches HomeKit Smart Lock, numeric keypad, and doorbell camera

The smart door lock market is heating up, with Yale, Kwikset, and Schlage all announcing new products this fall. Startup August unveiled a new version of its August Smart Lock that supports Apple’s HomeKit technology today, and the company expanded its home-security offering with a numeric keypad and a doorbell camera.
