“We will also be raising funds to continue with the ongoing project of the Nso Cultual Hall in Buea. Therefore, all the Nso children, friends, well-wishers and lovers of culture, should make it a date with us at the National Advanced School of Public Works Campus in Buea,” he said.

The very attractive menu of the day will include; traditional dances from the Northwest and Southwest Regions, traditional fashion parade, traditional dishes, exhibitions and medical screenings.

Mbuntum said an expected FCFA 10 Million is needed to complete the construction of the Nso Cultural Hall.

On the motivation of a Nso Cultual Hall in Buea, Shey Charles Kiven Wirsiy, a son of the Nso land in Buea said: “The idea of building a completely new hall was mooted but the majority of Nso people in Buea agreed that the old hall be rebuilt with more space and facilities to cater for the needs of the Nso Community members that have grown from a men’s group to include women and the youth.”

Kiven explained that they are bringing to the public setting their project to solicit goodwill support, strengthen cultural co-existence and encourage national integration and unity.

“At the completion of the project, other people out of Nso may have the opportunity to use the hall for their social and cultural activities. Your widow’s mite can make the difference in this noble venture,” he appealed.

Described as a cultural melange for development, the twin ceremony will be under the patronage of the Governor, Southwest Region.
