Brazil 2014 Playoffs: Cameroon Squad Against Tunisia Released

Tuesday, November 5 2013, German-born trainer of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Volker Finke, has made public his list of players to tackle the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia come Sunday, November 17 2013 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

The Finke composed list is of two parts; a first list of 25 players and a waiting list of 6 others. The list of 25 is constituted of 3 keepers, 8 defenders, 7 midfielders and 7 attackers led by Chelsea FC marksman, Samuel Fils Eto’o.

With the intention to scale the mistakes committed at the first leg game in Rades, Tunisia played Sunday, October 13 2013, where the Lions pulled a goalless tie, Finke and his collaborators on the Lions’ technical bench have invited some players who were not party to the Rades expedition. These include; BEDIMO Henri of French club, Olympique Lyonnais and ASSOU EKOTTO Benoit of English Division II side; Queens Park Rangers for the defense mechanism.

In the midfield compartment, MBIA Stéphane of La Liga club, FC Sevilla makes a comeback after recovering from an injury that prompted his absence in Tunisia. Also coming back are; Landry Nguemo and Raoul Cédric Loé

At the attack line, ABOUBAKAR Vincent of French Ligue I side, Lorient and OLINGA Fabrice from Spanish club, Malaga, who were in the waiting list in the first leg match in Rades now make their entry in the main list of 25.

 

After the zero all tie in Rades, Tunisia, the winner of the November 17 2013 match in Yaoundé will get one of the five tickets open for the African playoffs for the 2014 World Cup slated for the Latin American football giant nation, Brazil.

 

According to a programme from Volker Finke, the all professional squad of the Lions are expected to begin warming up on Monday, November 11 2013 at the Maria Okoa Excellence Centre at Mbankomo, outskirts of Yaoundé.

 

In the build up to the Cameroon – Tunisia match in Yaoundé, FIFA, Saturday, November 2 2013 designated a Mauritian trio to handle the match. The referee is 43-year-old Rajindraparsad Seechurn.
