That is the mindset we have put in place. We cannot alleviate poverty without doing business. Cameroon will not emerge if we are not into businesses. That is why CUIB is the place where we are preparing Cameroonians for the country’s emergence,” he added.

The CUIB President will concede that they have the necessary human resources at the undergraduate level to carry on with their vision. “We are not ripe to run the Masters and Ph.D programmes but at the first degree, we are comfortable and have what it takes. We are also liaising with other institutions in and out of Cameroon to enrich our capacity and provide services to Cameroonians,” he mentioned.

Fr. Nkeze rejoiced with the fruitful partnerships they have with the US Embassy in Cameroon, Go Ahead Africa Organisation and more. “Our students are encouraged and open to opportunities abroad so that they can build their capacity and be useful to their communities. Our faculties’ members are also open to grants and scholarships thanks to the US Embassy in Cameroon,” he said.

The CUIB boss prescribed the soul of business to his students, which is; good character. “We are not training intellectual thieves, we are training people to take an organisation to a higher level, people who know the dynamics of business, the theory, the pressures of running a business, standing up to competitions and accountability,” he mentioned.

Mgr. Immanuel Bushu, Bishop of Buea and Chancellor of CUIB said the institution is on a good footing, inviting all the stakeholders to stay on board and tackle their respective responsibilities.
