Brazil 2014: Here Is Finke’s Provisional Squad for Cameroon

Like the rest of the 31 countries booked for the FIFA World Cup due to open in Brazil in the weeks ahead, the Normalisation Committee of Cameroon Football Fedration, FECAFOOT, has presented the 30-man provisionary squad of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon to FIFA headquarter in Zurich, Switzerland.

Selected by the head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, German-born football trainer, Volker Finke in consultation with his collaborators, Finke told the media that the selected players who are expected to begin a two week camping in Austria from Tuesday, May 20 2014 have been selected on the bases of their experience, majority of them form the group that took part in the qualifiers while others were selected to prepare the future of the team.

According to Finke, the current squad of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon is a medley of the experienced and the young, with a mission to be efficient.

Finke told journalists that in Austria, they will be working on the spirit of the team, create a fighting spirit, put in place an atmosphere of collective success for the team, ensure the tactical strategies vis-a-vis Cameroon’s opponents and how to change the rhythm of a match.

In the 30-selected players are three players invited from Cameroon League I. The three come from Cotonsport of Garoua.
