Chantal Biya, Unesco’s Special Advocate

[Cameroon Tribune]Friday, November 14, 2008 was an important day for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Republic of Cameroon. The date entered into the annals of history as the erstwhile Director-General of UNESCO, Mr Koichiro Matsuura, designated Mrs Chantal Biya, First Lady of Cameroon, as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Education and Social Inclusion, in a ceremony that took place at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.
