Comcast X1’s IFTTT support lets you make your own TV alerts

Comcast X1 set-top users can now create custom notifications on their TVs, thanks to a tie-in with IFTTT. With IFTTT, users create conditional “recipes” that connect a pair of seemingly disparate Internet services, without having to install a bunch of additional apps.
